An item reported that the Dutch monitor Zr. Ms. Adder (1) lieutenant 1st class F. Luteijn escorted by the ram Zr. Ms. Stier (2) went to Hellevoetsluis, Netherlands to be there stationed for cruising in the southern waters.

1. Laid down at the navy yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands on 31 December 1870, launched on 28 September 1871, trial on the IJ, Netherlands on 24 October 1973, commissioned on 16 June 1875and sunk with all men on board on Wednesday 5 July 1882 off Scheveningen, Netherlands. Rammonitor 2nd class.
2. Laid down at Laird, Birkenhead, England on 7 June 1867, launched on 9 April 1868, trial on 18 August 1868, modernized in 1882, laid up in 1908, became a floating magazine in 1915 and sunk during tests when struck by bombs thrown by aircraft in 1925.
