German Davis Strait whaler de Witte Vos returned damaged according to the Dutch newspaper Amsterdamse courant dated 22 March 1727

An item dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 21 March reported that the ship Witte Vos departed from the Elbe, Germany towards Davis Strait returned from the Shetland Isles after her main mast was damaged. She was now fitted out for a new effort.
