American whaling ship Hercules spoken according to the newspaper The Polynesian dated 18 July 1846

The New Pictorial and Illustrated Family Magazine established for the diffusion of useful knowledge, 

vol. III. Robert Sears editor, New York 1846.

An item reported the arrival at Honolulu, Hawaii on 13 July of the American whaling bark Fame of New London which reported to have spoken the American whaling ship Hercules of New Bedford on 29 June which caught just one whale.
