Possible again enemy submarines active off the Canadian west coast according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee Daily summary dated 5 May 1942

An item reported that at the West coast a Canadian warship attacked with deptc charges a possible submarine around 43 miles north of Vancouver Island although with unknown results. According to the Joint Intelligence Committee was this the first time since some months that submarines were located off the West Coast.
