American whaling bark Blackstone visited South Africa according to the The Cape of Good Hope Almanac and Annual Register for 1846

The New Pictorial and Illustrated Family Magazine established for the diffusion of useful knowledge,

An item reported the arrival in the Table Bay on 24 November by the American whaling bark Blackstone with a tonnage of 258 tons, master Q.M. Bellows, coming from the USA on 9 July.
