American whaling bark Delta visited South Africa according to the The Cape of Good Hope Almanac and Annual Register for 1846

The New Pictorial and Illustrated Family Magazine established for the diffusion of useful knowledge, 

vol. III. Robert Sears editor, New York 1846.

An item reported the arrival in the Table Bay on 2 January 1845 by the American whaling bark Delta with a tonnage of 315 tons, master D. Weekes, coming from Greenport on 17 August 1843 and departing on 13 January 1845.
