American whaling brig Ann Maria visited South Africa according to the The Cape of Good Hope Almanac and Annual Register for 1846

An item reported the arrival in the Simon’s Bay on by the American whaling brig Ann Maria with a tonnage of 196tons, master John Carr, coming from whaling and bound for the Fall River.
