Italian midget submarine B 4 cancelled in 1917

Of the B-class, preceded by A-class designed by vice admiral E. Ferrati. Displacement 40 (surfaced)-46 (submerged) tons and as dimensions 15.12 x 2.32 x 2.56 metres. Crew numbered 5 men including 1 officer. Range surfaced 128 nautical miles/ 6.9 respectively 225/5 and submerged 9/5 respectively 48/3. Speed 6.9 (surfaced)-5 (submerged) knots. Armament 2-45cm/17.7” torpedo tubes. To be built by R. Arsenale, La Spezia, Italy, but cancelled in 1917.
