Japanese destroyer Shirakumo built by Thornycroft according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1901/1902 no. 8

An item referred to the magazine Le Yacht which reported that the first of the two destroyers was launched at Thornycroft for Japanese account. The Shirakumo had as dimensions 61,13 x 6,32 x 2,15 metres, a displacement of 275 tons while the engines supplied 5.700 ihp allowing a speed of 30 miles with 40 tons on board. The armament consisted of 1-7,6cm gun, 5-0,57cm guns and 2 torpedo tubes.
