Russian warships lying at Helsingfors according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 12 April 1918

An item dated Petrograd dated 10 April 1918 reported that 30 destroyers, 40 submarines and 50 transports of the Russians were left behind at Helsingfors. They were disarmed but it was not possible to transfer these ships to another location .That same evening were three battleships coming from Helsingfors at Kronstad expected. The former Russian icebreaker Volynetsz and the Finnish icebreaker Torntramp landed a small German force at Lovisa between Helsingfors and Viboy. According to tidings was a German squadron with some transports underway from Reval [Tallinn] towards Lovisa probably to capture the railroad Helsinfors-Viborg.

Built in 2004 at the Edward Shipyard, Shanghai, China. Owned by SP/F Nolsö Shipping, technical managed by Furetank Rederi AB and commercially managed by Furetank Chartering, Donso, Sweden.

Patrol ship Tjaldrid of the Faeroe Islands (1976) 1987->2000

This was originally a merchant tug build in 1976 at the yard of Solvaer, Verksted, Norway and in 1987 purchased by the Landsstyri. With a displacement og 650 (full load) tons are the dimensions 44,5 x 10,1 x 3,2 metres or 146 x 33.1 x 10.5 feet. The 2 MWM diesels supplies 2,400 hp allowing a speed of 14,5 knots. The crew numbers 18 men excluded 4 divers. The armament could consist 2cm gun, originally a 5,7cm gun.



The website www.marinetraffic.com described her as a salvage and rescue ship with as dimensions 45 (over all) x 10 metres and a speed of 10,2-14,6 knots. Call sign XPRT, IMO no. 7617747 and MMSI no. 231006000.



The website www.naypedia.org descrived her as serving as patrol vessel fot the coast guard and fishery protection with as homeport Tórshavn, Strømø Island.Dimensions 44,5 x 10,1 x 4,0 metres and a displacement of 650 tons. She was also fitted out with a decompression chamber.

The website www.shipsotting.com calls her a tug build in 1976 at the yard Svolvaer Mekaniske Verksted at Svolvaer, Norwar with a displacment of 453 tons.

Danish naval cutter Skarven (Y 382) 1951-1966

Lost when she runs aground at Mjovanes, Suderoye, Faeroe Island 7 May 1966. She was used as a fishery patrol vessel of the Skarven-class with as sister ship the Teisten (Y 383). Displacement 125 tons and dimensions 25,0 x 6,3 x 3,0 meter.
