An item referred to COM 10 reporting that the navy and Caribbean air force observed the situation at Martinique. Two destroyers were present off Fort de France with naval patrol planes and the Caribbean Bomber Command standby at Antigua, St. Lucia and Trinidad. The J.I.C. commented that the Caribbean forces were ready for action despite the agreement with admiral Robert.(1)

An item reported that after the visit by H.R.H. The Prince of Wales [the later king Edward VIII] to Jamaica was cancelled, changed also the program of the British battle cruiser HMS Renown. She was to depart from Colon, Panama on 14 September, arriving at Grenada on 17 September, the next day at Trinidad, at Demerara, British Guiana [Guyana] on 21 September, Antigua on 24 September, three days later at Bermuda and finally leaving from there on 29 September bound for Portsmouth, England.

Original laid down as an improved Revenge-class battleships design but when the First World War broke out was her completion delayed and afterwards completed as battle cruisers. An item reported that the British cruiser HMS Calcutta (1) was to escort the British HMS battle cruiser Renown (2) during her visiting harbours in the West Indies (3) and then in begin October to be refitted at Bermuda.

An item reported that the voyage program of the British battle cruiser HMS Renown was changed and that the new data and harbours were Acapulco [Mexico] 9-10 September, Panama 13 September, Colon [Panama] 14 September, Trinidad 17-23 September, Grenada 24-25 September, St. Lucia 25-26 September, Dominica [Dominican Republic] 26 September, Montserrat 27-28 September, Antigua 28 September, Bermuda 1-3 October and Portsmouth 11 October where she was to be paid off.(1)
