Part of the Chang Feng-class consisting of the Yu Chang (ex-Chang Feng), Chien Kang and Tung An preceded by Hai Lung-class succeeded by Ching Po (delivered to Italy) and Lung Tuan (delivered to Austro-Hungarian navy). Launched by Schichau-Werke, Elbing, Germany on 5 July 1912, commissioned on 7 November 1912, scuttled as blockship on 18 December 1937, salvaged by the Japanese in December 1939, renamed Tung Chun and handed over to the ROC-Nanjing Navy, abandoned when personnel of the ROC-Nanjing Navy was involved in an uprising and what became of her is unknown.

Laid down by Vickers Limited on 12 December 1910, launched on 13 July 1911,completed on 2 December 1911, disarmed on 24 October 1937 and sunk in a Japanese air attack on 25 October 1937.

Ordered by Stabilimento Tecnico Triestino (STT) of Trieste , Austria [nowadays Italy] in 1912, launched in 1913, seized by Austria-Hungary on 1 August 1914, completed on 10 September 1914, commissioned as SMS Warasdiner, ceded to Italy in 1920 and broken up. Her design was derived from that of the Austro-Hungarian Huszár-class destroyer commissioned between 1905-1911.

In his letter dated Istanbul, Turkey 12 February 1940 No. 729 g. reported the German naval attaché to the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht Abteilung Ausland the neutral ships passing Istanbul coming out of the Black Sea and loaded with contraband for or chartered by the enemy. An item reported the Hungarian motor ship Kassa on 4 February 1940 underway from Bugaz, Romania towards Malta with 1,100 ton fine bran in sags.

Portugal interested in acquiring three scouts in 1910

With a letter of the US Legation at Lisbon dated 18 December 1911 received the Secretary of State a translation of a proposal of the Portuguese Minister of Navy dealing with increasing the fleet as published in the Diaro de Noticias. The plan could only be realized with a foreign loan so interested bankers needed active support of their governments. It included the building of three scouts of 3,500 tons each, maximum horsepower 22,000 hp and a speed of 27 knots. The armour was to consist of about 6cm at the sides and a 2cm thick protected deck.Armament 4-12cm cal 50 guns, 4-7.6cm cal 50 guns and 2 torpedo tubes. Cost of each scout 1,600,000.000 dollars, total cost 4,800,000.00 dollars. Scouts were to be of the Admiral Spaun type with slight alterations.

Austrian torpedo boat SMS Magnet replaced by small cruiser Panther in December 1913

In his letter dated Valona [Vlorë, Albania] 13 December 1913 informed the German member of the Kontrollkommissien für Albanien the Chief of the Naval Staff that the Austrian torpedo boat SMS Magnet (1) was replaced by the small cruiser Panther (2). The latter was of the size of the Italian stations ship Irede (not Irida) around 1,300-1,500 tons.

Hungarian motor ship Kassa underway from Ukraine to Malta according to a letter of the German naval attaché at Istanbul dated 27 January 1940

In his letter dated Istanbul, Turkey 27 January 1940 No. 690g. reported the German naval attaché to the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht Abteilung Ausland the neutral ships passing Istanbul coming out of the Black Sea and loaded with contraband for or chartered by the enemy. An item reported the Hungarian motor ship Kassa not listed in Lloyds. Fully loaded with 1,300 ton grain and bran in bags from Bugaz, Bessarabia [=Ukraine] towards Malta.

Built by Stabilimento Tecnico Triestino Werft Linz. Commissioned on 15 September 1915, seized by the Allies and transferred to Serbia on 8 December 1918, handed over to Romania on 14 April 1920, handed over to Russia in 1944 and returned to Romania in 1950. Tonnage 600 ton and as dimensions 61 x 10.5 x 1.3 metres. Crew numbered 91 men. Armament consisted of 4-12cm guns, 2-7cm guns, 2-4.7cm guns and 6-8mm guns. Speed 13,4 knots.

Austro-Hungarian river patrol boat Wels

Built by Ganz, Danibius&Co., Budapest, Hungaria. Commissioned on 14 March 1916, handed over to Serbia in December 1918 and to Hungaria in November 1920 and broken up in 1949. After Romania and Russia surrendered was part of the Danube-flotilla including the Wels stationed at the Russian Black Sea coast operating from Odessa, Ukraine on the rivers Bug and Dnepr. Tonnage 133 ton and as dimensions 44 x 6 x 1 metres. Speed 15 knots. Crew numbered 40 men. Armament consisted of 3/4-76 mm guns.

Austro-Hungarian river patrol boat E 1912-1913

Built at Glasgow, Scotland. Commissioned on 29 March 1912, within some weeks decommissioned, to expensive to be refitted by Ganz&Co. Danubius Werft, Budapest, Hungary, stricken in June 1913 and sold to a private at Budapest on 20 August 1913. Tonnage 12 ton and as dimensions 18 x 2.7 x 0.4 metres. Speed 22 knots. Crew numbered 15 men. Armed with 2 machine guns.

Ordered in May 1892, laid down by Pola Naval Arsenal on 31 July 1893, launched on 9 May 1895, commissioned on 11 May 1898, decommissioned on 14 March 1918, handed ove to England in 1920, sold and breaking up in Italy started in 1921.

In a letter dated 16 May 1894 of the shipyard F. Schichau, Elbing, Germany was a design mentioned for an Austrian inland patrol vessel with an light armament consisting of machine guns.and as dimensions 22.4 (between perpendiculars) x 3,5 x 1,65 (depth in hold) x 0.56 (fore)-0.81 (aft) metres and a displacement of 27.5 tons.  Horsepower 135 ihp, speed 12 knots and a crew numbering 9 men.

Brazilian passenger steam ships Bagé and Cuyabá arrived at Lisbon, Portugal in October 1942

In his letter No. 1883 dated 19 October 1942 referred the German naval attaché in Portugal to the Oberkommando der Kriegsmarine at Berlin to the newspapers Diario de Noticias, Seculo, Diario de Manhã, A Voz, Lisbon and Primeiro de Janeiro, Porto dated 11 October 1942 reporting that after a voyage of 24 days the Brazilian passenger steam ships Bagé and Cuyabá arrived at Lisbon, Portugal on 10 October. On board of the latter were 62 German diplomats and personnel and 9 Spanish, on board of the first 174 crewmembers of Italian ships seized by Brazilians, 27 Hungarians and 146 Portuguese. The Lloyd Brasilieiro closed her office at Lisbon and the line Brazil-Portugal ended.

Turkish army buying large number of horses in Hungary according to a letter of the German naval attaché at Istanbul dated 24 February 1940

In his letter dated Istanbul, Turkey 24 February 1940 No. 774 g. reported the German naval attaché to the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht Abteilung Ausland the neutral ships passing Istanbul coming out of the Black Sea and loaded with contraband for or chartered by the enemy. An item reported on 19 February that the Turkish Department of War seemed to have bought 1,500 Hungarian horses in Hungary on behalf of the Turkish army to be transported as soon as possible by train towards Istanbul. The “Intercontinentale”would transport the horses from Hungary toSirkec, local repsentative Firm D. Axelrad.

Austrian inland barge No. 67107 confirmed to be of Yugoslavian nationality and ownership in 1921

After the First World War (1914-1918) lost by the German, Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman Empires was Walker D. Hines appointed as international arbitrator responsible for the ceding of tugs and other inland vessels by Germany, Bulgaria, Austria and Hungary to the Allied Powers. For Austria respectively Hungary were the Treaties of St. Germain and Trianon leading. Lists were made of the involved vessels including some details and what their fate was to be. A list dated Paris, France 2 August 1921 reported that the nationality and ownership of the Austrian DDSG (1) barge No. 67107 with a tonnage of 661 tons was confirmed to be Yugoslavian on the ground of seizure.(2)

The Kingdom of Yugoslavia was formed on 1 December 1918 with merging the provisional State of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs (officially proclaimed on 29 October 1918) with the formerly independent Kingdom of Serbia. The latter kingdom was since 28 November 1918 united with the Kingdom of Montenegro. The Kingdom of Yugoslavia was until 3 October 1929 officially titled the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes.

Part of Ersatz Monarch-class preceded by Tegethoff-class and in fact an enlarged version of this class meant to replaced the aging Monarch-class coastal defence ships. All four ships were never laid down and finally cancelled in 1917. Main armament 10-36cm/14: (2x2&2x3) guns. Constructions displacement 24,605 tons and dimensions 172.0 (waterline)-175.2 (over all) x 28.5 x 8.4 metres. The A=Ersatz Monarch to be started before 6 August 1914 by Stab. Technico Triestino, the B=Ersatz Wien before 9 October 1914 and the C=Ersatz Budapest and D=Ersatz Habsburg in spring 1915.
