Type 23 frigate or Duke-class preceded by Type 22-class and succeeded by Type 26- and Type-31 class frigates. IMO 8949666, MMSI 234621000 and call sign GCOH. Ordered in December 1991, laid down by Swan Hunter, Tyne and Wear, United Kingdom on 4 April 1991, launched on 3 April 1992, sponsored by Lady Anne Kerr, commissioned on 29 September 1994, decommissioned on 12 March 2025 and to be broken up in Turkey in September 2026.

Part of Flower-class corvettes succeeded by Castle-class. Ordered on 25 July 1939, laid down by Fleming&Ferguson Ltd., Paisly, Scotland on 29 July 1940, launched on 30 January 1941, commissioned on 13 May 1941, sold to merchant shipping on 17 May 1947, renamed ss Cloverlock, later sold to People’s Republic of China. Stricken in 1989?

US Navy planning to use the atoll French Frigate Shoals according to the Dutch newspaper Marineblad dated 1936 no. 2

An item referred to the Proceedings dated January 1936 reporting that the atoll French Frigate Shoals with a diameter of 2 miles was a excellent landing location for seaplanes.(1)

Note
1. Atoll in the North western Hawaiian Islands in the Pacific Ocean. The US Navy built aft the Battle of Midway (June 1942) a naval air station on Tern Island.
