Haarlem, Haarlem, Netherlands as an Antarctic patrol ship, transport and research vessel with ice-strenghtened hull for special service in the Southern Ocean on 30 September 1957, launched on 11 June 1958, exercised with Dutch artillery on the North Sea to check her behaviour at sea in December 1958, commissioned on 7 April 1959, decommissioned in January 1997, sold in 1998 to the merchant shipping.

Shipspotting.com d.d. 20-9-2025 mentioned that she was renamed in 1998 Antarctic Dream, serving as a passengership, IMO 5278432, MMSI 457139000 and call sign JVTU5 and Mongolia-flagged, owner/manager Turismo Nuevo Mundo, Valparaiso, Chile.

In 2000 sold to the Belgian government and commissioned on 24 June 2000 with as homeport Zeebrugge, Belgium. Decommissioned on 12 September 2014. Motto Per Dura et Aspera. Displacement 378 tons and as dimensions 49,90 x 8,52 x 2,9 metres. The horsepower of 2.240 hp allows a speed of 18,42 knots and a range of 3.000 nautical miles. Her crew numbers 13 persons. In Swedish service was her displacement 335 (standard)-375 (full load) tons with as dimensions 50 x 8,5 x 2,4 metres or 164’ x 27.9’ x 7.9’. Her crew numbers then 9 persons and she could be armed with 1-20cm Oerlikon gun and further more had she mining capability. Her building was ordered in 1978. Her GRP hull is identical to the Swedish navy Landsort-class

Completed by shipyard Nr. 178/STX Finland Rauma, Rauma, Finland in 1969. Disposed at Mumbai, India on 5 June 2003. Part of a group consisting of the Altaj, Aktau, Amgun, Aktubinsk, Aykhal, Rauma, Adygeni, Anakliya, Aynazhi, Kola, Izkora, Khersones, Akhaltsikhe, Yugansk, Ararat, Ayon, Omsk, Autse, Biryuza Antares, Zugdidim Auseklis, Zhalgiris, Abava, Prut, Svrgutnef, Anyuy, Neftegoresk, Tarkhankut, Ilim, Aspindza, Dabrecen, Neftekamsk, Sakhalinneft, Sibirneft and Rumbula. IMO 7235355. Built for the U.S.S.R. Northern Shipping Company at the Navashinskiy Shipyard, Navashino, Russia in 1972. Homeport Archangelsk. Speed 11,75 knots. Dimensions 123,5 x 15 x 4,5 metres, gross register tonnage 3.590 tons, net register tonnage 1.804 tons and deadweight 4.000 tons. Renamed Challenger in July 2000, Givs in January 2004 and Samarga in January 2004. As Samarga callsign UFJX, MMSI 273443980 and Mongolia-flagged and owned by Ardis Co. Ltd., Russia. Detained at Gdynia, Poland in 2002, the same year at Gibraltar and again at Kolkata, India in 2004. Sold to in 2007 be broken up in Bangladesh.
