USA-flagged, homeport Duluth, Minnesota, USA, IMO 9271145, MMSI 369953000 and call sign NGML. Launched by Marinette Marine Corporation, Marnette, Wisconsin, USA on 7 February 2004, maiden voyage begun on 12 September 2004 and commissioned on 10 June 2005. Of the Juniper-class seagoing buoy tender belonging to the US Coast Guard which is a multi purpose cutter including icebreaking and marine environmental protection. Displacement 2.000 (with design draught full load), gross tonnage 1.930 tons, deadweight 350 tons and as dimensions 69 x 14 x 4 metres or 225 x 46 x 13 feet. Machinery consists of 2x3.100 diesel Caterpillar allowing with 88% rated horsepower and full load a speed of 15 knots. Range with a speed of 12 knots is 6.000 nautical miles. Her crew numbers 50 men (including 8 officers).

An item dated Ijmuiden, Netherlands 26th reported that the abandoned bark Manici of Drammen, Norway could in the meantime be seen ashore while towed by 2 steam trawlers and was expected to enter the harbour around five o’clock. She departed on 14th October Bristol, England bound for Norway.
