Part of the Dzerzhinskiy or Kirov-class or Project 19,consisting of the Dzerzhinskiy and Kirov, operated by the NKVD (People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs) Border Guard. Designed by Ansaldo, Italy, laid down by Ansaldo, Sestri Ponente, Italy as PS.26 on 8 February 1933, launched on 16 September 1934, completed on 17 October 1934, renamed PSK-1 in February 1935, renamed Dzerzhinskiy on 26 March 1935, commissioned on 9 August 1945, renamed PS-28 on 18 May 1957, condemned on 11 June 1957, converted into a stationary staff ship since 27 June 1960 and stranded in 1961. Part of Pacific Fleet.

Building ordered on 21 December 2011, laid down  by STX Finland Rauma, Rauma, Finland on 25 February 2013, launched on 2 August 2013 by Pavi Rasanen, completed on 9 May 2014. Building costs 97 million euro. Crew numbered around 30 persons. Horse power 1x6.400kW and 2x3.000kW. Speed 18 knots. In crisis time possible be armed. Fitted out with helipad. Ice breaking capability up to 0,8 metres/31”. Bollard pull around 100 tons. 

Indonesian patrol vessel Ankloeng 1950s

Of the Alkai of Ampok-class consisting of Alkai, Alulu, Ampis, Anklang, Antang, Aryat, Allap, Ampok, Andis, Ankloeng, Arokwes and Attat. Built in the Netherlands. Displacement 143-147 (full load) tons and as dimensions 124.5 x 18.5 x 5.5 feet. Armament consisted of 1-3,7cm gun and 4 machine guns. Crew numbered 20 men. Machinery consisted of 1-400/450 bhp Enterprise diesel allowing a speed of 12 knots.

Ordered in 2009. Built at the Baltic Workboats Yard, Nasva Harbour, Estonia in 2010. Delivered after 8 May 2010. A Baltic patrol 1300 design. Dimensions 13,75 (over all) x 4,0 x 0,75 metres and a displacement of 12,3 tons. Fitted out with 2x441kW at 2.100 rpm Volvo Penta D 11-600 diesels. Speed more as 40 knots.

Commissioned in January 2008 by the Koninklijke Maurechaussee for border control. In the Waddenzee area. Built by Damen shipyard Gorinchem, Netherlands in 2007with as dimensions 34,42 x 7,36 x 1,66 (maximum) metres, a maximum speed of 16 knots, a crew numbering 8 persons and accommodation for 12 persons. IMO 9483413, MMSI 246563000 and call sign PBFJ. 

Soviet patrol boats sighted in the Austrian Korneuburg shipyards according to a CIA report dated 1 August 1951

An item reported that in the Austrian Korneuburg shipyards 3 small Soviet patrol boats were sighted. All three were fitted out with mine-laying equipment and an armament consisting of light machineguns.(1)

Naval units of the border guard not part of the Polish navy according to a CIA report dated 8 October 1951

An item reported that the Polish navy trained the crews of naval units belonging to the border guards (WOP although remaining part of the WOP. Although their naval uniforms suggested the crews including officers otherwise were the naval units not part of the navy.

The Polish border guard at Leba, Poland according to a CIA report dated 30 October 1951

An item reported that the Polish WOP unit (borderguard) possessed two patrol boats which were former American landing craft narked R-1 and probably to handed over to the Polish navy in the near future. Sometimes visited Polish small naval vessels the harbour with the village occasionally used for training marines coming from Gdynia and Ustka. Stanislaw Harynek was captain of the port while Czeslaw Gozdzik was chief inspector of fishing.

Displacement 35,9-39,7 (full load) tons and as dimensions 21,70 (waterline)-23,80 x 3,80 (waterline)-5,00 x 1,00 metres. Machinery consisted of 2 M-401B diesel engines supplying 2.300 bhp allowing with 2 screws a speed of 30 knots. With a speed of 15 knots a range of 500 nautical miles and with an endurance to stay at sea of 5 days. Crew numbers 13 men including 3 officers. Armament consist of 2x2-12,7cm 79cak Utës-M machineguns.
