The German naval budget according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1915-1916 no. 2

An item reported that that the German naval budget amounted 478.963.565 German mark. To be commissioned were 21 battleships, 5 large cruisers, 8 small cruisers, 1 battleship in reserve with the associated torpedo boats and submarines. For service abroad were available 2 large cruisers, 8 small cruisers, 6 gunboats, 2 torpedo boats, 3 river steamships, 2 survey vessels, 1 station ship to which a steamship and further more the school ships and the ships for special services. For this purpose was 68 million available. The personnel strength for 1914 was estimated to be 3.272 officers, 340 officers of health, 3.183 master warrant officers and 15.966 warrant officers, 54.369 sailors and 1.950 boys totally 79.080 men.
