Fitting out of an American navy squadron according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 5 August 1824

London, 31 July. According to the newspaper Courier were with all possible haste ships fitted out for departure towards open sea, namely the 74-gun North Carolina commodore Rogers, 44-gun Constellation commodore Macdonough, 22-gun Horner captain Kenny, 22-gun Ontario captain Nicholson, 12-gun Shark lieutenant Stevens, Porpoise lieutenant Skinner and the ammunition ship Decoy lieutenant Gamble.
