The British and French navies in the Mediterranean according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 24 January 1829

Except for the merchant ships waiting at Toulon to return to Morea were with all possible haste (as wasn’t seen since a long time) 11 warships fitted out destined for the Archipelago. According to tidings received at Toulon were at Malta 5 British ships of the line and some frigates.
