Sweden developed defence plan with huge advertency for naval aspects according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1906-1907 no. 9

An item referred to the magazine Marine Rundschau reporting that the chiefs of the army and naval staffs were ordered to make a defence plan for Sweden. The results were partly published. To defend the coastline were between 1908-1913 2 ironclads 1st class, 2 ironclads 3rd class, 2 torpedo cruisers, 8 destroyers, 12 torpedo boats 1st class and 8 submarines to be built. The naval base at Stockholm was to be enlarged of moved to another location and in Göteborg and along the coast of Norrland war harbours to be founded. The defence of Stockholm, Karlskrona and Göteborg at the seaside was to be strengthened just like the station in Norrland and the base in Aland. The mine service was to be further developed. Most remarkable remark was that what was now asked was far less as really was needed.
