British whaler Prudent visited South Africa according to the The Cape of Good Hope Government Gazette dated 8 April 1831

An item reported the arrival in the Table Bay on 2 April of the whaler Prudent master J. Wakeling bound for London loaded with 1.770 barrels oil, put in for refreshments.
