An item reported the arrival on 26 December in the Table Bay of the bark Sophia master G.H. Acock on a whaling voyage, loaded with 300 barrels sperm oil, put in for getting new crew members after loosing 12 men and 2 boats on the position 3.20 latitude south 49.12 east.
