Naval operations of the Dutch East Company in Djambi according to the Generale Missive dated 5 April 1739

The pantjalang Suikermaler arrived at Batavia with letters from this station dated 28 February and 20 March 1738. She departed 9 May and arrived 28 May. The tanjongpoura Onbeschaamdheid departed 7 August and arrived 18 September 1738 with a cargo of 7442 lb black pepper and 344½ reaal melted gold, total value fl. 13.566. The former resident Jan Dinies departed with the kunting Schenkage, with which vessel his successor Gerrit Veltman arrived. The Schenkage arrived 8 February 1739 at Batavia with unmarketable ‘armozijnen’ and ‘patholen’ of silk with a value of fl. 892.
