Reliable sources in New Delhi reported that an official mission of the Indian cabinet was negotiating in Moscow for buying destroyers, frigates and a submarine. The Indian minister of defence Chavan was to depart within a week to join the mission. Until now was the Indian navy fitted out with British ships.
