US navy personnel strength increased according to the Dutch newspaper De Tribune dated 28 June 1918

An item referred to the newspaper Times which reported that the total personnel strength of the US navy was now more as 450.000 men. Since the submarines appeared off the American coasts were 27.000 men enlisted in the fleet reserve.
