USA denied existence of naval pact between England and Japan according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland dated 26 August 1927

An item dated New York 25 August reported that the under secretary of foreign affaires denied in all terms the rumours that England and Japan made a naval pact while informing the USA. His department did not receive any tiding of this kind so it was just a fairy tale.
