Austrian brigantine Joacimb arrived at Bombay according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 31 May 1844

According to a tiding from Trieste dated 15 May arrived the Austrian brigantine Joachimb 3 March at Bombay after leaving Trieste 13 September 1843. It was the first time that an Austrian merchant ship made a voyage to the East Indies. There was a hope that others followed this example given by the well known owner Minerbi who in the past opened with success a direct shipping line towards Brazil.
