American whaler Joseph Maxwell lying at Honolulu in December 1873 according to the Whalemen’s Shipping List dated Tuesday 6 January 1874

An item referred to a letter written by captain Hickmott on 3 December 1873 at Honolulu on board of the bark Joseph Maxwell of New Bedford. In the meantime he sent wit the Syren 100 barrels oil to New Bedford and another 14.200 lbs bone via the railway over San Francisco.
