Ambitious Argentinean fleet program approved by Parliament according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1909-1910 no. 3

An item reported that the Argentinean fleet program was accepted by the Parliament. The cabinet was allowed to purchase 2 battleships, 6 destroyers to escort the squadron and 12 destroyers 2nd class for coastal defence tasks. If necessary could the building be increased with another battleship,3 large and 4 small destroyers. Further more was it allowed to improve all existing ships and bases up to a up to date technical level. The total budget was 32 million gold dollars, available on 8-6months terms.
