Dutch cargo annex passenger ship Tabinta 1929-1961

Laid down by N.V. Nederlandsche Scheepsbouw-Maatschappij, Amsterdam, Netherlands with yard number 202 on 1 May 1929, launched on 21 March 1930, delivered on 19 August 1930 to the N.V. Stoomvaart Maatschappij Nederland, Amsterdam. Converted into troop transport and in service in 1942, relased on 9 January 1946 at San Francisco, USA, chartered by the Dutch cabinet between 1946-1949 and uses as troop transport towards the Dutch East Indies, returned in 1940 and sold to be broken up in December 1960 to Fourseas Enterprising Co., Honkong and broken up in May 1961. In 1929 temporarily called Tambelan.

Gross tonnage 8.156 tons, net tonnage 4.898 tons, deadweight 10.336 tons of 1.000 kg, grain capacity 602.840 cubic feet, bale capacity 510.545 feet and as dimensions 141.74 x 18.90 x 11.05 metres.
