An item reported the arrival at Honolulu, Hawaii on 19 March by the French whaling ship Gange master Villers of Le Havre, France 30 months out 1.100 barrels whale oil badly leaking. She was to unload her cargo to examine her damage. It was believed that she would be condemned.
