Taiwanese transport (ex-Sihrasaki 1942-1947) Wu Ling or Wuling (31) 1947-1970

Former Japanese vessel, ceded as war reparation on 3 October 1947. Built as a reefer for the Imperial Japanese navy under the Maru 4 Programme Maru Rin Programme. Laid down by Hitachi Zosen’s Sakurajima shipyard, Osaka, Japan on 18 May 1942, name designated on 20 August 1942, launched on 5 November 1942, completed on 30 January 1942 as a cargo/supply/ammunition ship. Jane’s Fighting Ships edition 1959-1989 reported a refrigerated ship on a destroyer hull, reported laid up and non-operational. Decommissioned on 1 May 1970, Displacement 950 tons and as dimensions 203 x 31.25 x 10.25 feet. The two diesel engines supplied 600 bhp allowing a speed of 15 knots. Armament consisted of 1-7.62cm/3” gun, 1-4cm gun, 8-25mm anti aircraft guns and 4 machine guns.
