British frigate Tartar prepared for departure towards South America according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated London, 28 January 1823

The British frigate HMS Tartar captain Browne was ready to depart Plymouth to join the South-American squadron.(1)

1. A 36-gun 5th rate with as builders measurement 949 tons and as dimensions 145 x 38’5”. Launched at the Deptford Dockyard 6 April 1814 and broken up in 1859.
