British convict ship Waterloo destined for Diemensland wrecked according to the Dutch newspaper Zierikzeesche Courant dated 22 November 1842

An item reported that during a storm at Cape of Good Hope 14 ships were lost including the British Waterloo master Ager from London underway to Diemensland with on board excluded the crew 240 convicts , 30 soldiers and some women and children of which 250 were drowned.
