Danish naval actions against the British merchant shipping according to the Dutch newspaper Vriessche Courant dated 4 May 1810

Copenhagen, 17 April. According to private letters captured Danish cruisers two large British ships both loaded with timber and masts. Four Danish gunboats commanded by lieutenant Gibsted captured off Anholt a British gunboat commanded by a lieutenant which captured herself several prizes. This tiding was more or less confirmed by another Dutch newspaper Koninklijke Courant dated 27 April 1810 which called the Danish lieutenant Shibstedt. The Danish cruisers in this newspaper were called gun brigs and the British ships loaded with corn and masts.
