ordered on 7 August 1942, laid down by federal Shipbuilding and Drydoxk Company.
Kearny, New Jersey, USA on 7 July 1943, launched on 15 December 1943,
commissioned on 26 January 1944, decommissioned and stricken on 15 August 1973
and sold to the Union Minerals&Alloy Corporation to be broken up on 16
October 1974.
Displacement 2.890
(design)-2.200 (standard)-3.315 (full load) tons and as dimensions 114,76 x 12
x 4,78 metres or 376.6 x 40 x 15.8 feet. With a horsepower of 60.000 shp and 2
screws was her speed 34 knots and with a speed of 15 knost was her range 6.500
miles. Crew numbered 336 men. Armament consisted of 3x2-13cm/5” /38 cal guns,
2x4&2x2-4cm anti aircraft guns, 11-2cm Oerlikon anti aircraft guns,
10-53,3cm/21” torpedo tubes, 6 depth charge projectors and 2 depth charge
tracks.
