An item dealing with the Polish inland vessels reported that on the Gdansk-Warsaw section were active:
The tug Gdansk, which was one of the better preserved tugs and able to tow six barges.
The steam tug Geoplana (?) in good condition
The steam tug Wanda in fairly good condition
The motor tug Lubecki in good condition
The motor tug Kollataj in good condition
The steam tug Edward which was in such bad condition that most of the time she was towing herself
The motor tug Min. Lubecki in good condition

An item reported that at the Plock shipyards the next inland tugs were undergoing repair., namely the Poznan, Klara, Witez, Reduta Orona and Warszawa.

Generally could be aid that the tugs were in better condition than the passenger crafts. This was mainly the result of the support by the UNRRA which used the barges for transporting stores.
