Zara-class heavy cruisers
An item reported that the British pilot Brie (1) managed to start off from and land on safely with his autogiro on board of the cruiser Fiume (2) despite that the Fiume had no flight deck. When he fly away the Fiume did a speed of 254 knots. Brie was invited by the Italian cabinet to join Italian naval manoeuvres off Spezia.

Laid down by Stabilimento Tecnico Triestino, Trieste, Italy on 29 April 1929, launched on 27 April 1930, commissioned on 23 November 1931 and sunk in the Battle of Cape Matapan against British battleships on 29 March 1941. Part of Zara-class heavy cruisers, preceded by Trento-class, succeeded by Bolzano-class.
