With a submerged displacement of 5.500 tons and as dimensions 98 x 10 x 7.4 metres or 321.6 x 32.10 x 24.3 feet. The propulsion consisted of 1 nuclear turbo-electric engine-pressurized water reactor allowing a speed o 25 knots. Her crew numbered 75 men. The armament consisted of 6-53,3cm/21” torpedo tubes which could be used for launching the RPK-2 and for which 20 torpedoes were stored. If desired could 36 mines by carried in the tubes. Missiles could only be launched when she was surfaced. The Type 091 were mainly used in the local waters. Due to using 1950s technology was the radiation shielding just poor. Secondly was this type extreme noisely, partly solved by added anechoic tiles
