Hong Kong interested in ocean-going trawlers according to the Commercial Fisheries Review dated January 1960 no. 1

An item reported that the Deputy Colonial Secretary of Hong Kong during a Legistative Council Budget regarded the lower lasuggested to purchase a new type of ocean-going trawler able to serve in safe international water ensuring continuity of supplies. Building costs for each trawler estimated 500,00 Hong Kong dollars/around 87,500 US dollars. Her fishing fleet was only self-sufficient staple food of Hong Kong.
