Ltd., West Hartlepool, England in end 1918, launched in April 1919, requisitioned by the Imperial Japanese Army and became Army No. 683 on 9 October 1941 and sunk by the American submarine USS Triton (SS-201) off Papua New Guinea on 6 March 1943. Gross tonnage 3,057 tons, under deck 2,842 tons, net tonnage 1,836 tons and as dimensions 331.1 x 46.8 x 23.1 tons. Reciprocating coal fuelled 429 nhp propulsion with a range of 9,600 miles. Speed 9 knots. World War I C-class standard cargo ship.
