Of the Buenos Aires-class, sister ships Buenos Aires, Corrientes, Entre Rios, Misiones, San Juan and San Luiz. Was a modified British G-class destroyer design. Launched at Cammell Laird 3 November 1937, commissioned 26 September 1938 and stricken 1973. Displacement 1.375 tons and dimensions 320 (waterline)-323 (over all) x 34’8” x 10’6”. Her crew numbered 130 men. Armed originally with 4x1-4.7” guns, 8-2pdrs and 2x4-21” torpedo tubes. The Parsons turbines and 3 boilers delivered 34.000 shp allowing a speed of 35,5 knots.
