Portuguese warships belonging to Don Pedro in action off Peniches according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 18 April 1832

In French newspapers was a letter published dated Lisbon 28 March according to which 23 March six warships belonging to the fleet of Don Pedro were sighted North of Lisbon. During some time the shot heavily at the fortress Suzanna at Peniches and sailed later northwards probably to attack elsewhere. Immediately were troops sent to the coast and who returned with batteries the gunfire of the ships.
