Ships of the Admiralty of Zealand with homeport Flushing 1595

Ron van Maanen

The ships of the admiralty of Zealand were divided between several homeports, namely Middelburg, Zierikzee, Veere and Flushing. At the latter three harbours were also ships built and naval facilities available. For each home port was a equipagemeester appointed, responsible for fitting out the ships. At Middelburg there was not always a equipagemaster appointed, the ships with this home port were then fitted out elsewhere.
