Iranian attack submarine Nuh (former Soviet B 224) 1992-


Pennant 902. Laid down as the B-224 at the United Admiralty Shipyard, St. Petersburg on 30 April 1992, launched on 16 October of the same year, purchased by and delivered to Iran on 31 December that year, left Russia for Iran mid 1993 and was commissioned on 7 August 1993 based at Bandar Abbas.

A Russian Kilo-class design (project 877 EKM) with a surfaced displacement of 2,325 tons and while submerged 3,076 tons with as dimensions 72,60 x 9,90 x 6,6 metres. The crew numbered 53 men.
The surfaced speed was 10 knots and the submerged 7 knots while the surfaced range was 6,000 nautical miles with a speed of 7 knots and 400 nautical miles submerged with a speed of 3 knots. The armament consisted of 6-53,3 cm torpedo tubes and 1 Fasta-4 shoulder launched SAM system for which she carried with her 8 Strela missiles.
