Building of the Dutch merchant ships Hebe and Sophia Koningin der Nederlanden at Delfshaven, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Schiedamsche Courant dated Monday 16 July 1855

On 12 July was at the yard of shipbuilder H. de Hoog at Delfshaven the newly built frigate ship Hebe with a measured of 343 lasten on account of C.J. Jut en Co of The Hague launched with as master O. Kivijt. Immediately after the launching was for the same account the keel laid down of the clipper ship Sophia Koningin der Nederlanden of around 400 lasten with as master L. Klein. Both ships were destined for the oceanic trading.
