Dutch privateer Ondeelbaarheid captured by British 1797

According to the local newspaper Leeuwarder Courant dated 30 september 1797 was de Dutch privateer Ondeelbaarheid, commanded by captain C. Monkenberg, when departing for sea by a British 18 guns brig droven backwards to the beach or even on the beach of the island Vlieland. In the fight the Ondeelbaarheid was hit 3 times serioulsy and when 1 men killed and 2 wounded, 33 men surrendered while 13 others escaped with the boat on the shore of Vlieland. The British brig towed the Ondeelbaarheid away.
