French naval shipbuilding program according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwsblad voor Zeeuws-Vlaanderen dated 3 February 1900

The French government supplied a budget of 800.000.000 francs for harbour works, purchase of defence equipment for Algiers and Corsica and the building of 28 battleships, 24 armoured cruisers, 52 destroyers, 263 torpedo boats and 36 submarines.
