Keel laid down 18 June 1883 and launched 17 January 1885 by Samuda Brothers, England, dimensions 280'2" x 52'03" x 18'4", a displacement of 4.921 tons and a tonnage of 5.029 tonnes. Speed with 6.500 ihp 15.8 knots and with a speed of 10 knots she was able to travel 4.500 miles. Main armament 4-9'2" guns in 2x2 turrets. Her crew numbered 277 men. Renamed 1894 Dezesseis de Abril and later Vinte e Quatro de Maio but in 1900 again called Aquidaban. Blown up and sunk in 1906.
