Of the Beemster-class built for American account as a result of the Mutual Defence Assistance Program. Wood-built with a displacement of 384 ton and as dimensions 43,94 x 8,50 x 2,29 meter. The 2 diesel engines each of 880 ahp while driving 2 screws allowing a speed of 13,6 miles. The crew numbered 41 men and they were armed with 1x2-40mm machine gun. Laid down at the yard of Go. W. Kneass at San Francisco, USA in 1952 as the AMS 150, later renamed MSC 150 commissioned in Dutch naval service on 3 November 1954.
